The Land Of Naa was founded in 2008 as an art project selling screen-printed tee shirts out of a garage in Northern Beaches of Sydney.
Due to the need for better infrastructure the company was put on hold to ensure the quality of the business and products were of the highest standard.
JoJo Lee had this to say about his time developing the skills needed to run the company:
“After completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts I decided to attend fashion college in order to learn how to make clothes, during my time studying I completed multiple internships where I was able to pick up bits and pieces on how different companies operated their businesses”.
The Land of Naa is a contemporary men’s and unisex fashion brand based in Sydney, Australia. Selling a range of menswear and unisex options, garments range from basic tees, long sleeve and sweaters to dress shirts, jackets, and pants. The intention of The Land Of Naa is to offer an alternate visual language in the menswear market.
Men’s fashion in Australia has always been an undeveloped conversation as most men are brand loyal “2.3 million Aussie men (24%) agree they will buy a product because of the label” not leaving much to talk about. Luckily, we are starting to see an increase in the number of designers coming out of Melbourne and Sydney giving hope to the industry.
The Land Of Naa’s design philosophy centres around a minimal design aesthetic, drawing inspiration from art, design and photography.
The brand offers clean, simple, aesthetically pleasing garments that are free from abrasive branding and logos, that use tone and design to complement the form.
The Land Of Naa will be offering two seasonal ranges per year. Starting with our first collection which will be available this winter (June 2019) and then a summer range to follow in late November of 2019.
